Libba Bray in conversation with Shannon Hale featuring Bray's gripping new book, The Diviners.
Acclaimed, young-adult author Libba Bray will be joined by Newberry-Honor-winning author Shannon Hale as they discuss Bray’s most recent novel, The Diviners.
It’s 1926, and New York is the city of speakeasies, shopping, Broadway plays, and movies palaces. But underneath the glam of the Roaring Twenties lurks a mystical, new evil making its way across the county. The Diviners introduces a group of young New Yorkers, each of who discover that something dark and sinister has awakened.
Bray is the author of the acclaimed A Great and Terrible Beauty trilogy, Going Bovine, and Beauty Queen. She grew up in Texas but now lives with her husband and son in Brooklyn. She is famous for the wit and humor that accompanies both her writing and her person.
Hale is the author of ten novels, including the best-selling Newbery Honor book Princess Academy and its sequel, Palace of Stones, the "Books of Bayern" series, two adult novels, and two graphic novels that she and her husband co-wrote. They live with their four children in South Jordan.
At the end of their presentation, both authors will be available to take questions and sign copies of their books which will be available to purchase at the event.
